K'NEX Education Review

K'NEX offers you an awesome array of block designs for kids ages 2 and up! I really believe that blocks are a great way to help develop different skills like imagination, pretend play and construction of different figures.  And they now have a new line!

I would like to introduce their newest K’NEX Education sets!  Hands on learning perfect for the classroom.  The recommended age for these sets: 5th-9th grade and supports 1-2 students at a time.  Each also comes in a convenient storage container complete with building instructions, lesson plans and a teacher’s guide.

I was sent 4 of the K’NEX Education for review:
INVESTIGATING SOLAR  ENERGY
SIMPLE AND COMPOUND MACHINES
EXPLORING WIND & WATER ENERGY
FORCE & NEWTON’S LAWS

First up is K'NEX Investigating Solar Energy set which is designed to address critical science, technology and engineering concepts and provide instructional models that will enhance students' understanding of these important concepts.  This set includes 128 K'NEX® parts – enough to build 6 renewable energy models.

Next is the K'NEX Education Simple and Compound Machines Building Set.  This set is designed to expand student's knowledge of simple machines concepts. With this set each student is invited to investigate, explore and experiment with simple machine models as they analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information.

The Exploring Wind & Water Energy Set is my favorite!  It is designed to address critical science, technology and engineering concepts in the middle school classroom and provide instructional models that will enhance students' understanding of these important concepts. This set includes 288 pieces which is enough to build 6 renewable energy models.

K'NEX parts, which is enough to build 6 renewable energy models.
The K'NEX Forces and Newton's Laws Building Set is another great one.  It has been designed for students to investigate a variety of concepts related to forces, energy, and motion.  This set includes 115 K'NEX parts, along with a Battery, Spring and Fly-wheel motor – enough to build 11 vehicles.

I love the idea behind these educational sets.  They are so much fun to build.  And they make these tough subjects fun and a bit easier to grasp.   Although M is a little young for these sets, as a homeschooling mom I look forward to teaching with these in the future.  My niece and nephew absolutely love them and they are no longer struggling to grasp Newton's Law!  The building instructions are clear and easy to follow and I love the teachers guide.  I am truly impressed by K'NEX Education and I hope the come out with more new sets soon!

These sets vary in price ranging from $59.99 to $69.99 and can be purchased here.
