Spend Less Time in the Kitchen this Easter! Here's How...

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.
Our holiday traditions are in flux right now as our family adjusts to having them without my dad, who passed in 2012.  Easter is no exception.  Typically, we all head to my mom’s house where the kids hunt for eggs and we all sit down for a meal of ham, potatoes, and various veggies.

This year, my mom has decided, last minute, that she needs to get away for the holiday and has booked a vacation.  I say “Good for her!” But now we’re scrambling to plan Easter dinner without her.  She’s the Queen of get-togethers, so we’re feeling her absence, but she taught us well, so we’ll prevail!  With 3 siblings (all with “extensions”) this is going to be a tough task.  You can imagine my relief when I was asked to partake in a wonderful program sponsored by HoneyBaked Ham.  Let me tell ya, this couldn’t have come at a better time.  Now no one has to worry about cooking or bringing a dish and the only one responsible for cooking are the chefs at HoneyBaked in Taylor, Michigan.

This means I get to spend more time with family, remembering dad and creating memories to share with mom when she returns, rather than being stuck in the kitchen.
Our catered meal is going to include a Bone-in 11lb fully cooked Half Ham which is perfect for our large family.  Since 3 Heat & Share sides are only $19.99, we are getting the Green Bean Casserole, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and the newest addition to our family’s tradition, Cinnamon Apples.

When I went into the store to place our order, I was pleased at the cleanliness and orderliness of the store.  The variety of food available was amazing and refreshing!  And the staff, well, they were just wonderful!  This is a store that doesn’t underestimate the power of good customer service.  They were attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful.  The woman who assisted me helped me find the best dinner options for the number of guests I was expecting.  She informed me that the 11lb ham was the best size for our family and not only was it fully cooked, but it would stay fresh for 7-10 days in the fridge and can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 weeks!  That really helps me with some flexibility, if plans get changed or rearranged.  In addition, each Honey Baked Ham is hand-selected for leanness, smoked up to 24 hours, and spiral sliced to the bone so that easy tender, juicy slice is easy to serve.
I’m not picking up our Easter feast just yet, but I wanted to give Honey Baked a try and see what they could do! So for our recent trip to the zoo, I ordered a picnic mini-feast for my family.  Honeybaked has the most most awesome Box Lunches.  Each lunch includes a gourmet deli sandwich, a side, and a dessert.  The staff was great at making sure that our sandwiches weren’t soggy and everything was amazingly delicious!  They can consider me a new, and permanent, customer!
