Old World Gourmet Review and Giveaway!

Old World Gourmet is a "Made in America" company that has built itself on the solid foundation of providing excellent customer service, quality hand-crafted products, and always exceeding our customer's expectations.   They offer a variety of wine mixers and cocktail mixers and they even have a full line of gourmet snacks and bread mixes that are super easy to make and I’m sure very tasty.    They are the perfect addition to any get-together or party.  They also make great gifts!

For my review,  I received three of the Old World Gourmet white wine Vino Freeze Mixes.   With this 3-pack assortment, creating frozen cocktails and drinks is super easy .   My selection included the the flavors Lemoncillo, PeachBellini and Margarita.   Each box makes about 10 small glasses which is prefect for a small gathering.   I also received one of OWG’s Party In a Pitcher mixes.  I was so excited for these to arrive because a family party was just around the corner.  Needless-to-say these were a huge hit with my family.

The Vino Freeze Mixes were absolutely delicious; my favorite being the Lemoncillo.  And mixing the OWG Vinolicious boxes are super quick and easy!  You can either place the product in a 2 quart pitcher, or use a one gallon zippered bag.  We decided to go with the one gallon zippered bag method because it would easily fit into our freezer.  To prepare, just get a ziplock bag and your choice of wine.
  • Empty the OWG Vinolicious mix into your ziplock bag.
  • Empty a 750ml bottle of wine into your bag
  • Refill the 750ml bottle of win with water, and add that to the bag
  • Making sure your bag is fully closed and shake until well mixed
  • Place it in the freezer for about 3 hours
  • Remove from freezer, and thaw to your desired serving consistency (slushy for me).
Party in A Pitcher is a genius idea.  You get more bang for your buck as it includes a pitcher!  Just add Red wine or Vodka…No Blender, No Ice!    These pitchers come in a good variety flavors!  I decided to go with the Blueberry Pomegranate.  This was so good!  And since I’m not a huge wine fan it was nice to be able to use some Vodka.  The instructions are very similar to the Vino directions so they are just as easy.  The hardest part of this recipe is the waiting.

Old World Gourmet is on facebook and twitter. You can check out all of their products on their webpage

One lucky winner is going to receive a Vino-Licious wine mixer of their choice.

Puppet Monsters Review and Giveaway!

PuppetMonsters are adorable wearable creatures with interchangeable parts! You can swap out their eyes, ears, nose, horns, arms, mouth, and much more! They have 6 different monsters to choose from along with 6 different accessory kits. Your children can wear it as a hat, place their fingers in the monsters hands and put on a great puppet show.

When M’s arrived she was so excited.  She picked Jumbo Eyes.  It came with all of the parts attached (like the picture) so of course the first thing she wanted to do was take all the parts off and make it as silly as possible.  She wanted his arm on the top of his head and his eye where his ears should be. We had such a good time.
Due to M’s age she is unable to easily attach the pieces, but with a little practice I think she can do it. The pieces attach through holes in the body and are held in place by tabs. Its actually very simple, M’s problem is pulling the tab thru all of the puppet fur.
I was shocked too see just how big these creatures were, I guess I was expecting something much smaller; it was a nice surprise.

The greatest part about these little guys is not that they are super fun but the fact that they are machine washable!  I love that!  A lot of plush toys these days are surface washable only.  And bonus all of the pieces fit nice in the toy pouch for easy clean up and storage.
